Data Liberator by DataMug

Your software is going away. Your data doesn't have to.

When a system is deprecated, unsupported, or its vendor disappears, years of records can get stuck inside it. We get that data out, clean it up, and hand it back to you in a form you actually own.

Sound familiar?

Signs your data is trapped.

Most teams don't notice until a renewal, an audit, or a shutdown date forces the question. The earlier you move, the more of the history you keep.

  • The vendor has announced end-of-life, or has already gone out of business.
  • Support contracts lapsed and nobody left knows how the system works.
  • The only export option is a PDF report or a locked, proprietary file.
  • It runs on a server or operating system you can't patch anymore.
  • Years of customer, financial, or operational history are trapped inside.
How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Find the data

We map where the old system actually stores its records — databases, flat files, attachments — and what each table and field really means.

02

Get it out

We extract everything, including the history the vendor's export tools leave behind, without changing or damaging the original system.

03

Clean and check it

We fix duplicates, broken links between records, and odd formats, then reconcile counts and totals so you can prove nothing went missing.

04

Hand it over

You get your data in open formats or loaded into the platform you choose — Snowflake, Databricks, Postgres, or plain CSV and Parquet files.

Built for trust

Read-only on the old system. Checked on the new one.

We never write to the system we're rescuing from, and every extraction ends with a reconciliation report: record counts, totals, and any exceptions, side by side. Your team signs off before anything is retired.

You own the output — open formats, full documentation, no new lock-in.
